Failure Will Lead To Success

What is failure?

No one ever thinks about failing but when it happens what do you do?

We all have failed in some form or fashion but do you get back up again to get to the finish line?

Life will continue to bring on challenges and obstacles, when you feel like your back is against the wall and you feel like everything in your life began to crumble. As things begin to look cloudy and it seems like things will never let up, my mind races and I don't know how to stop it times. When it feels like I try and try and nothing is ever good enough. Let me tell you feeling like you have it all and have thing planned out, well let me be the one to tell you that life you give you lemons repeatedly.

Let me be transparent here; I was at the top of my game, high paying career, I was engaged and ready to move to build a new future. Well things changed, I was working for a while until I resigned because to care for my mother and things were changing from Covid. Yes, we lived in a beautiful home and neighborhood but things got shaky and traveling back and forth from Atlanta and Chicago was becoming real expensive. I was willing to stay and figure things out to ensure that my family and I was going to make it but it became very difficult to be in Atlanta and be in Chicago to care for my mother. So, we began our journey back to Chicago; as we packed up our home and box up all memories of this dream which had became a reality. Being back home in Chicago so I thought was going to be a delight because I could get back to work and just back in where I left off. Oh boy was I wrong, I was working my work from home  but it wasn't enough so I started back applying to get back in the working field and oh boy was that something.

It's been going on 2 years and I have not gotten back into the working field and nothing yet. I get rejection letters after rejection letters, yes the company like my credentials but when asked really why I wasn't chosen it's always the same response YOU ARE OVERQUALIFIED for the position. Do you know what that does to one's soul when you have worked so hard to finish college get degrees to have a career and you are hit with you are overqualified; there is a gut punching feeling you can't shake and it makes you feel like a failure and sometimes it's hard to come from that.

I pray, mediate, listen to motivation podcast, go on walks to keep a positive attitude that things will get better. Here I am almost 40 years old and the feeling of still nothing but rejection after rejection does something to my spirit. I am forever grateful for a place to live, food to eat, clothes on my back, and all of the things I need to sustain life; but there is always that internal whispering voice that want to tell you are not going to make it and you aren't good enough. Let me be the one to tell you that it's a struggle but you have to continue to push forward.

What have failed at and want to retry?

Have you ever been told you were under or over QUALIFED?

DELAY doesn't mean DENIAL.....

Are you ready for this Milk & Honey...

She-Me-Her at 40... Which one are you or are you all 3!!!
